December 2008 - only one year since its publication, MEMOIRS OF A TEENAGE AMNESIAC adpoted onto 7! state reading lists: Delaware, Missouri, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, and Texas. A very heartfelt thanks to all the hardworking people who put these programs together. November 2008 - Production begins in Tokyo on the Japanese language film version of MEMOIRS OF A TEENAGE AMNESIAC starring Maki Horikita, Kenichi Matsuyama, and Yuya Tegoshi. November 2008 - LOVE IS HELL, a YA anthology from Harper Collins with five novellas about love by Justine Larbalestier, Melissa Marr, Laurie Faria Stolarz, Scott Westerfeld, and Gabrielle is available for purchase at Amazon , Barnes & Noble , or your favorite independent bookstore . November 2008 - MEMOIRS OF A TEENAGE AMNESIAC wins the Delaware Blue Hen Teen Book Award -- Thanks, Delaware. October 2008 - Gabrielle sells a new ADULT novel to Grove/Atlantic, THE HOLE WE'RE IN. According to Publisher's Marketplace, it's " about three decades in the life of a downwardly mobile family of five, and their unique struggles with credit card debt, ambition, materialism, rationalization, denial and the war in Iraq." June 2009 - MEMOIRS out in a fancy paperback edition featuring an interview with me, playlists, and other sundries. MEMOIRS on International Reading Association's Young Adult Choices list. March 2009 - MEMOIRS nominated for the South Carolina Young Adult Book Award February 2009 - ELSEWHERE wins the Connecticut Nutmeg Children's Book Award -- thanks so much, Connecticut librarians, teachers, and readers! MEMOIRS nominated for the Eliot Rosewater Indiana High School Book Award and the Arizona Grand Canyon Reader Award. MEMOIRS is now on 9 state reading lists. ELSEWHERE nominated for the Heartland Award for Excellence in Young Adult Literature. Also, on the evening of March 25th, I will be part of a panel discussion about YA literature at the Manhattan JCC with authors Coe Booth ( Tyrell , Kendra ) and Lisa Greenwald ( My Life in Pink and Green ).
